New Home and Harry
If you’re reading this then you did an awesome job of clicking over from Blogger. *Bloggy High Five!*
I had been mulling it over a for a while now, to move over to WordPress or stick with Blogger. I finally got tired of moderating comments. Tired of being unable to efficiently reply to comments when I wanted to. Tired of having to place and squish everything on one page.
Just tired of Blogger. I believe it was time for me to move on over to the WordPress World so here I am.
If you haven’t already, please update your readers and blogrolls.
Moving along…
I have a confession to make to you. Some of you already know of this particular addiction of mine, but those of you who don’t, please be kind and gentle when you find out that I’m a Harry Potter fan.
I read all seven books.
The last one lasted a week with me only because I forced myself to put it down.
The others I read within a 48 hour period.
I’ve seen all the movies.
And yesterday? I watched the preview of the 6th movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
I don’t want to give anything away (not storyline-wise, but visuals, what exactly was included/not included, etc.), but all I’ll say if you have read the books and/or seen the movies and loved them, you will like this one too.
Just keep in mind they couldn’t put EVERYTHING in it. It was already two and a half hours long.
Now I just have to wait another year or so for the next one to come out. WHY MUST IT TAKE SO LONG?!
I clearly have problems…

Congrats on the move! I’ve been considering it myself, for the same reasons.
Thanks! And so far it’s been worth it.
Oh you just have to make life difficult, don’t you? You’re just lucky you’re cute.
It’s true, I get away with a lot due to my cuteness factor.
Welcome to the wonderful world of WordPress. We welcome you.
Why thank you.
Good news girlfriend! I heard a rumor that they filmed the last two movies at the same time, because you know, the kids we’re getting older, and that’s why this movie has been taking just a little bit longer than usual, but it also means that we may get the last movie within a much shorter time frame, and ohmigosh isn’t that awesome?!?!? I too, am a fellow DA. guilty as charged.
I think I heard they were filming the very last movie in two parts which I personally wouldn’t mind. Now if they could only make it come out this winter that would be AWESOME.
Congrats on the move! I’m a wordpress girl, through and through. Hope you enjoy it. I can’t fathom that you’ve already seen the Harry Potter movie- I can’t wait!!
Thanks! Liking it so far (wordpress I mean). I was pretty much counting down the days to watch the movie and my heart almost stopped as they pulled the curtains away from the screen. Like I said, I have problems…
1) Yay WordPress!
2) The movie was good? Really? You promise?
I’m so excited!!
I really liked the movie, but just remember they couldn’t fit everything in there!
Welcome to the world of WordPress. My transition was only a few months ago, but I can’t tell you how awesome it’s been! There’s a way to moderate the first time someone comments, but all future comments don’t have to be moderated if you approved them the first time. I LOVE that feature. And even more, I love being able to respond to everyone’s comments instead of trying to find an email address embedded in their blogs somewhere. Hope you’re loving the change!
Amen to all of that! So far, liking it a lot!
Trust me, you made the right choice. My life has become a trillion times easier since the switch.
Reader and roll updated!
I think so too. And thanks for the reader and roll updates!
It appears today is the day for confessions. (I posted my own on my blog) Y’know, there are so many Potter books and movies, shouldn’t this kid be all grown up and livin’ in the burbs with a wife and children by now? LOL.
One would think! Actually, in the book he did….
I have been thinking about making the move away from Blogger. I just can’t be bothered to actually do it
Ha! It does take quite a bit of time, but so far, totally worth it!
i can’t wait to see it! i am an unapologetic HP fan!!
i was going to reread this book before watching the movie, but i appear to have lent it out to SOMEONE who never returned it. SO RUDE.
You know, I’m actually glad I didn’t reread it. It makes you appreciate the movie more and not sit and compare every detail (which I would have definitely done).
Nice new site.
Thanks lady!
Welcomes welcomes! Replying to comments was the number one reason I switched earlier this year.
Thanks! I like it so much that I can’t seem to tear myself away from it. Ok that can’t be too good.
I love WordPress. Glad you switched!
I have to confess I have never read any Harry Potter nor have I ever seen the movies. Can we still be friends?
Me too!
And yes, we can most definitely still be friends.
well hello new home!!
marie, i might have to talk to you about how you moved from blogger to wordpress, i’m intrigued by everyone making the switch!
Anytime! Just shoot me an email.
